Turkish textile leaders visited COTTON USA™ Signature Mills in Pakistan to witness the full power of U.S. cotton’s effects on a mill’s performance!

Participants learned from their Pakistani peers how U.S. cotton makes their mills more competitive, while our COTTON USA™ Technical Team provided U.S. cotton spinning expertise. This event strengthened connections that began when Turkish leaders hosted Pakistani and Bangladeshi executives last September and shared their own best practices – taking everyone to the next level in cotton.

Please welcome 2025 Cotton Council International President Carlo Bocardo!

Carlo Bocardo takes over the presidency from U.S. cotton grower Lee Cromley, who will serve as CCI chairman.

Bocardo is the executive vice president of sales for Calcot, Ltd., a cotton marketing cooperative, and has traveled extensively in the U.S. and around the world promoting U.S. cotton. He joined the cotton industry in 2000, when Calcot hired him as an assistant export sales manager. Bocardo received a master’s degree in agribusiness from Texas A&M University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico City.

We’re earning more global recognition for U.S. cotton as a sustainability leader!
